What happens when a Washington D.C. Teacher of the Year and the former head of K-12 education at Google set out to bring a game changing literacy platform to libraries and schools across the country? They do it.
Felix Lloyd and Jordan Bookey launched Zoobean, and their flagship product Beanstack, make it easy for schools and libraries to create, manage, and measure reading challenges that get results. Using a customized website and easy-to-use mobile app, educators and librarians can track reading and gain actionable insight into participation. And to keep readers motivated, Beanstack provides them with tailored book recommendations, badges, and real-life rewards that incentivize reading progress. This video shows just how the Beanstack magic happens.
Today, Beanstack is an essential tool for 1000+ schools and libraries around the world. In June, Zoobean took top prize at the 2018 International Society for Technology in Education pitchfest. And if the name rings a bell, you may have seen Zoobean on SharkTank, where they accepted an investment from literacy champion Mark Cuban. Mark runs his annual Winter Reading Challenge on Beanstack.
The company has headquarters in Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh, P.A.
We are thrilled to work with the Zoobean team and proud to welcome them into the RevUp portfolio!
