RevUp Capital invests in B2B and B2C companies that are revenue-driven and ready to double down on growth. We deploy cash and capacity to help companies grow from $1-3M to $10-20M, quickly and efficiently, using a non-equity, revenue-based model.

Among the first investors in the world to bring a revenue-based model to earlier-stage companies, RevUp was built from our experience as founders and early stage equity investors. Since 2016, we have used our battle-tested cash and capacity model to move companies up the growth curve, and together, break free from the constraints of equity-only funding.

Who is Eligible?
RevUp invests with a focus on SaaS, e-commerce, consumer products, hardware, and technology-enabled services. Companies enter our portfolio with $500K-$3M in annual revenue, a strong growth rate, and a plan to reach $10-20M in revenue in 3-5 years. We invest nationally, with active investments in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, D.C., Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Kentucky and beyond. RevUp is committed to ending racial and gender bias. How We Invest
RevUp invests cash and capacity into a company’s market-facing activities. Initial investment ranges from $300-$500K. RevUp pairs its cash investment with 12-months of rigorous support from the RevUp Growth Platform: a powerful resource to build a data-driven growth engine, delivered by a dedicated team of people who help get the work done.

Return Model
Companies return investment through a revenue royalty contract, paying a small percentage of revenue (4-8%) over time (36-48 months).

RevUp uses a cash and capacity model to help B2B and B2C companies grow from $1-3M to $10-20M as quickly as possible. Capacity building focuses on helping companies build a data-driven growth engine for success today and into the future. Why? At the bottom of this curve, the day-to-day demands of business building are intense, with bandwidth and resources stretched thin. The result? Growth experimentation gets pushed to the back burner.

The RevUp Growth Platform helps companies use science-based growth experimentation to overcome this hurdle, and achieve better outcomes overall. The Growth Platform’s battle-tested process is supported by three pillars:

  • People: Trained, full-time growth marketing staff that work exclusively with companies in the RevUp portfolio for 12-months post investment.
  • Technology: Preferred pricing, dedicated support, and expert-level implementation assistance on technology platforms proven to work for B2B and B2C businesses.
  • Partners: A pool of vetted contractors, agencies, and vendors that amplify and extend the reach of the RevUp platform.

The RevUp growth team works for 12 months with each investment to design and execute growth experiments, pick the winning approaches, and help the company build the internal capacity to scale. This approach has the effect of doubling or tripling marketing capacity at a critical time in a company’s trajectory.

RevUp is led by Melissa Withers, Allan Tear and Bill Cesare, an experienced team that has built and invested in 130+ companies over the last decade.
