Meet Us in SF at SOCAP Global

Connect with RevUp in San Francisco on October 27-30

RevUp has proven that early stage investors can turn a profit while also funding companies that create positive impact in the world. You just have to have the right tools. Making this obvious (and easier) was a driving factor in why we created RevUp and remains a guiding force in all we do.

Glad that we will be at SOCAP Global 2025 in San Francisco next week, connecting with investors and founders who share these beliefs. RevUp Managing Partner Melissa Withers will be at the event and available for in-person meetings with founders who may be a strong fit for the RevUp portfolio and investors interested in our newest fund, the Athena Growth Fund 2025.

Impact can mean different things to different people. At RevUp we think about impact in three ways:

1. Investing Beyond Unicorns

Expanding the toolkit for early stage investing has never been more urgent. We cannot afford to limit entrepreneurship—and all it brings to the world—to companies that exclusively track to the VC-model for hunting unicorns. There are thousands of companies that have significant growth potential even if they are unlikely to achieve the huge valuations or outsized exits needed to be considered “VC-backable.”

These companies produce excellent results for investors and products / services the world wants and needs. That these companies are led by founders with grit, creativity, and extraordinary commitment to making the world a better place is icing on the cake!

2. Investing Everywhere

Many reports show that ~80% of VC funding flows to just four states: California, New York, Massachusetts and Texas. While we are thrilled to have active investments in all of those markets, we are proud to support founders who build beyond major Venture Capital hubs, where the economic impact they create has outsized impact on the community. 68% of RevUp companies are based outside of these top-tier markets.

3. Backing Founders Who Build Without the Perks of Privilege

You already know that VC funding goes to a very narrow sliver of entrepreneurs. Our companies are often led by diverse operating teams that defy those dismal stats:

  • 60% of RevUp companies are C-Suite diverse

  • 51% of RevUp companies are women-led

  • 35% of RevUp companies have founders of color

These companies outperform their non-diverse peers and we proud to be even a small part of their journey.

Investing in a way that has a positive impact on the world isn’t philanthropy. Across previous funds we’ve returned a blended IRR of 20% to our investors. That some of our founders have done well enough to now become LPs in RevUp funds brings the purpose of our work full circle.

SOCAP is the perfect place to talk shop, rally partners, and connect with founders who might be a good fit for investment.

SOCAP Global is where purpose-driven founders and investors meet to shape the future of impact. From reimagining financial systems to sharing sustainable growth models, SOCAP is a hub for people building companies that create lasting value.

We’re excited to join the conversation, connect with mission-aligned founders, and share how RevUp’s approach helps founders grow without giving up ownership or control.

How We Invest

We built RevUp to invest into B2B and B2C companies ascending the $1M-$10M growth curve. We know from experience—and from the stellar performance of our portfolio—that this curve can be conquered.  But, having the right resources and support along the way is critical to success.

RevUp combines non-dilutive investment with hands-on support to help companies build stronger, more scalable infrastructure for growth. And, we do it using a non-dilutive model. Our goal? Give companies the best shot at success while preserving founder equity, optionality, and autonomy.
